Chakra Guide

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel, or vortex, and it refers to each of the seven energy centers of which our consciousness, our energy system, is composed. This is very similar to the kabbalah, The Tree of Life

Around each human being there is an energy field known as the aura. It usually extends 10-15cm out from the physical body. Some people can see the aura with all its colours, others can see a faint light, some cannot see anything at all, but this does not matter. The colours in our aura change depending on our state of health or our mood. The colour and energy of the aura is produced by the chakras. The chakras are the seven energy centers in our etheric body. They are wheels of bright colour which spin totally in balance when we are healthy and happy. When we are in bad health or feeling distressed, the chakras spin out of balance and the colours are not so bright. Each chakra is related to a particular colour. It needs to produce this colour for its energy field and it needs to spin in balance.

The Base or Root Chakra is associated with the color red. This chakra is the grounding force that allows us to connect to the earth energies and empower our beings. This chakra often offers us the opportunity to lessen our “control issues” and find a balance in our lives, teaching us to recognize that acceptance and rejection are not the only options in our relationships. Lying violates the body and spirit . We speak our choices with our voices (throats). All choices we make in our lives have consequences on an energetic level. Even choosing not to make a choice such as in repressing our anger (not speaking out) may manifest into laryngitis. We have all experienced that “lump in our throats” when we are at a crossroad of not knowing how to speak the right words in any given situation, perhaps even stuffing our own emotions. A challenge of the throat chakra is to express ourselves in the most truthful manner. Also to receive and assimilate information. Seek only the truth.

It has been referred to as our “GOD SOURCE” – but this terminology might be confusing to anyone who equates God with religious dogma, because of this I choose to call it a spiritual connection or communicator.
